Yes, electrolysis is the only hair removal method that’s approved by the FDA as truly permanent. Once a hair follicle is treated properly, it won’t grow that hair again. 

It depends! Everyone’s different — hair type, hormones, the area being treated, and how often you come in all play a role. Most people need multiple sessions over time to see full results. We’ll talk about your goals and create a plan that works for you. 

Most people feel a little heat or a quick “zap” — it’s usually very manageable. Some areas are more sensitive than others, but we go at your pace. If you're worried, we can talk about ways to make you more comfortable (like using numbing cream). 

Absolutely. Electrolysis has been around for over 100 years, and when it’s done by a trained professional (like me!), it’s very safe. I use clean, sterilized tools and follow all safety protocols. 

Yes — that’s one of the best things about electrolysis. It works on all skin tones and all hair colors, including blonde, red, gray, and white hairs that laser often can’t treat. 

 You might notice a little redness, swelling, or sensitivity right after your session, but it usually goes away within a few hours. I’ll give you clear aftercare instructions so your skin heals quickly and comfortably. 

Try not to tweeze or wax for at least two weeks beforehand — I need to be able to see the hair to treat it. Just trim if needed. Also, come with clean skin (no makeup or lotions on the area we’re working on). 

Pretty much anywhere! Common areas include upper lip, chin, eyebrows, bikini line, underarms, stomach, fingers, toes . If there’s hair you want gone, let’s talk. 

It’s generally considered safe, but I always recommend checking with your doctor first. Some clients prefer to pause treatments during pregnancy just to be extra cautious. 

Laser works best on dark hair and light skin and isn’t permanent for everyone. Electrolysis treats each hair follicle directly and doesn’t depend on hair color or skin tone. Plus, it’s truly permanent when done consistently. 

That depends on the area — smaller spots like the upper lip might only take 15 minutes, while larger or multiple areas could take 60 minutes or more. We’ll schedule sessions based on what you’re treating. 

Once a hair follicle is fully treated with electrolysis, it’s permanently destroyed and won’t grow that same hair again. However, new hair can sometimes appear in the same area over time — this isn’t the same hair growing back, but rather completely new, untreated hairs. These new hairs are often triggered by things like hormonal changes, age, or certain medications, and they can also be treated with electrolysis. 

Many people notice hairs becoming finer or growing more slowly after just a few sessions. With regular appointments, you’ll see steady progress toward smooth, hair-free skin.
